Environmental Essentials launch their brand new E-Learning Asbestos Awareness Course.

Asbestos is the single greatest cause of work-related deaths in the UK and Companies have a legal obligation to provide Asbestos Awareness training to all employees whose work activities could foreseeably expose them to asbestos. As UKATA and IATP registered members, Environmental Essentials have been delivering Asbestos Awareness, Non Licence Working and Duty to Manage Training for several years and have a fantastic reputation in the industry. However we also understand that it is not always cost effective or practical for Companies to allow their staff to “down tools” to attend a course.

Environmental Essentials have developed an innovative online E-learning Asbestos Awareness course which can be taken at a time that suits individuals or employers without incurring costs associated with reduced productivity and other associated costs . This has been encouraged as the HSE have now officially recognized the benefits of, and demand for online asbestos training.

Available as single or multiple subscriptions, the course is simple to use with a step by step guide on how to use the site and navigate through the course videos and multiple choice tests. The course provides immediate results and enables users to download their own certificate without having to wait for a copy in the post.

      Asbestos Awareness - Charity Event

RE:The Dave Willcocks Asbestos Victim Support Group - Asbestos Awareness Training Event
Around 4,000 people die in the UK every year because of asbestos exposure, and the figure is expected to peak at nearly 5,000.

In response to this, The Dave Willcocks Asbestos Victim Support Group are hosting an Asbestos Awareness Training course on 24th November 2010 at Environmental Essentials training facility in Stoke-on-Trent. Places will be charged at just £25.00 per person and places will be on a first come first served basis. All monies will go directly to this charity.
The Dave Willcocks Asbestos Victim Support Group was set up to assist all asbestos victims and families in the South Cheshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent area. Patrons of the group will be available on the day to discuss the benefits and assistance provided to victims of asbestos and their carers.

The primary aim of this event is to raise awareness amongst tradesmen that they are more at risk than they think from asbestos. The campaign also aims to encourage tradesmen to find out more about asbestos and the precautions they should be taking.

It will also help you comply with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 as legislation states that it is a legal requirement to provide asbestos awareness training "for all employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos" (Regulation 10 – Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006)

The course will be delivered by Environmental Essentials who are UKATA (United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association) and IATP (Independent Asbestos Training providers) registered members and all delegates who successfully pass the course will receive a
      Environmental Essentials Training certificate.

For further details contact Rosie on 0845 4569953 or email, rgreer@environmentalessentials.co.uk.

(All additional donations will be gratefully received.)
